What are Tiered Quantity Discounts?

Tiered Quantity Discount enables merchants to easily enter bulk discounts and price changes for an item or attribute. The more you buy, the more you save. As you increase the quantity of a product in your cart, you’ll automatically unlock greater discounts.

How to Setup Tiered Quantity Discounts?

Setting up Tied Quantity Discounts can vary depending on the business you are running. Here's a general outline of how to set up the discounts:

• Log in to your Console → Settings → General Settings → Promotions → Add Discount
• Create the discount, name the discount, specify the Discount Type as 'Tiered Quantity Discount', the Date range, and specify the configuration as required. You'll also need to specify the eligible product Classification for the offer.

Example: If the Selling Price of a Product is $12

• If the customer gets 1 product, the price will be regular until 12 for each product purchased.

• If the customer purchases 14 items the following price per item will be used

  • 14 items will be $11.90 = $166.6

• If the customer purchases 34 items the following pricing will be used

  • 34 items will be $11.80 = $401.2

Classifications/Attributes Supported:

• Department, Category, Sub Category, Product, Item, Vendor, Brand 

The POS automatically applies the correct discount based on the quantity of the product in the customer's cart. The discount calculation reflects the discount rates set by the merchant for various quantity tiers.

 

Duplicate Discount

The capability to effortlessly duplicate tiered quantity discounts, streamlining the creation of similar discount structures by allowing the replication of existing tiered quantity discounts while preserving the configuration and settings of the original discount.
