Sometimes your business needs to take money from the cash register, but it’s not for a sales transaction – no inventory is sold. The cash is used for paying out on a winning lotto ticket or something similar. This feature allows cash to be utilized in the register to make a payment in the course of business.
Prerequisites
- Create an item for lotto payout with UPC as "PAYOUT". You can set the payout amount by entering the price or even you can create the item as a variable price (open price) which will prompt you for the price at the time of sale, allowing the cashier to quickly change the price. This can be set on CAS/POS when creating or modifying the item.
You will be able to configure multiple payouts if you have multiple lotteries with a different range of prices.
How to Payout Lottery Tickets on POS?
When you are doing a payout, navigate to the PAYOUT button at the top of the transaction cart.
Select the payout items from the list and click on Add to Cart button.
You have the option to update the quantity or the price by just entering the values in the respective fields provided.
Once the item is added to the cart, you can proceed to checkout just like any other item by selecting the preferred tender(Cash).
