The Fixed Price Discount feature in 6IX POS allows employees to sell an item at a predefined fixed price rather than its original selling price. This makes it easier to run promotions, special offers, or campaigns where a product should always be sold at a set price.
For example: If a product normally sells for $12, but a fixed price discount of $7 is applied, the customer will pay only $7, and the discount amount will automatically be calculated as $5.
Key Details
Fixed Price Discount applies only at the item level. It cannot be applied at the transaction level.
When applied, the item’s final price is set to the configured fixed price.
The discount amount is automatically calculated as:
Discount = Original Selling Price – Fixed Price
How It Works?
Selecting the Fixed Price Discount
Users can choose the Fixed Price Discount option for an item while adding it to the cart.
This option is available per item and will not appear in transaction-level discounts.
Eligibility Check
The system verifies if the item’s selling price qualifies for the selected fixed price.
Example: If “Fixed Price $7” is configured, it only applies if the selling price is greater than $7.
Applying the Discount
If eligible, the system updates the item’s price to the fixed price.
The discounted amount is displayed, and the item is visually marked as discounted in the POS.
If the item’s price does not qualify, an error message is shown and the item remains at its original selling price.
Price Display
The final cart reflects the fixed price for eligible items instead of the original price.
