All Items Discount in 6ixPOS

Follow

The All Items Discount allows cashiers to apply a discount manually to all eligible items in the cart, based on product classifications or attributes. This makes it easier for merchants, especially those who do not maintain customer profiles or databases, to offer consistent discounts to specific customer groups, such as members, employees, or special promotions.

Discounts can be configured as either a fixed dollar amount or a percentage, giving merchants flexibility to run a wide range of promotions.

Merchants without customer profiles can still offer targeted discounts. For example:

  • A promotion for $1 OFF per item in the Drinks department.

  • If a customer purchases 10 drinks, the cashier applies the discount, and the POS automatically calculates a $10 total discount.

How It Works?

  • User can select the appropriate discount from the Discount Tab (User can see all the available configured discounts from here) in the Cart Screen.

  • The POS automatically applies the discount to all eligible items in the cart that match the configured classification or attributes.

  • Discounts can be applied based on Classification and it's Value:

    • Department

    • Category

    • Subcategory

    • Attributes (Brand, Season, Size, Color, Style, Vendor)

    • Multiple attributes can be selected when setting up the discount.

  • Discounts can be configured as either:

    • Percentage-based

    • Fixed Amount

  • When items are added to the cart, the POS checks their classifications. If the item match the discount criteria, the discount is automatically applied.

  • The discounted price and the discount details appear in the transaction summary and item history.

With the All Items Discount, cashiers can manually apply discounts across multiple items in the cart with just a few taps. Whether it’s a fixed amount or a percentage, the POS ensures the discount is applied accurately, consistently, and only to the right products, making promotions easier to manage and faster to execute.
