Quickpick can be used to group items that sell out quickly and also have multiple sizes without barcodes. Once items have been added, the quick pick menu makes it easy to access items that will not be scanned. A quick pick can be created from the 6IX pos application.

Quickpick Menu

A Menu can have ;

  • Unlimited  top-level pages a.k.a categories
  • Unlimited  Items under each page 
  • Unlimited  Attributes under each page 
  • Unlimited  Products under each page 
  • Unlimited  Collections & Sub Collections under each page 
  • Mix and Match items, attributes, products, collections & subcollections under each page

The menu can be assigned to a location or register. You can configure this from the POS or the backend portal, Console.

Quickpick Menu Pages  

Each Menu page can have a Name, Description, and Color of your choice.

Add a new Menu Page

From the home screen, click on the '  ' sign near the ‘All Items’ tab.

Name: Enter a name for the Quickpick

Description: Enter a description for the quick pick.

Color: Select a color for the quick pick from inbuilt colors. Users can customize the color needed.

Sequence: Select the sequence order for the quick pick.

Status: Select the status of the quick pick.

Click ‘Save’.

 Each page can have a custom color to give the cashier an easy visual and the background color of the items will change based on the chosen quick pick color. You can also set the sequence for the display.

 For cashiers to easily identify the selected quick pick page, there is an indicator down arrow for quick pick pages to indicator the selected page.

Quickpick Menu Page Items  

You can create as many labels as needed and add as many items under each label as needed.

  1. To add items to the quick pick menu created, select the quick pick menu button.

  2. Click on the ' ', which takes you to the item list /attribute list. You can also search for the items in the search field provided.

  3. Select the items and click 'Save'.

    Note: An Attribute is any type of attribute/classification you use such as ( Department, Category, Subcategory, Style, Color, Season, Brand )

    Pictures are not mandatory if the pictures are not available product names and the price will be shown on the gird.

Collections & Sub Collections

The enhanced 4-level hierarchy within Quickpick Collections and Sub Collections in the 6IX POS system allows for a more detailed and structured organization of products. This hierarchical approach facilitates efficient categorization, making it easier for users to navigate and access specific items or attributes within the Quickpick.

 We can have a menu tab with Collections that further group the Collections into Sub collections.

  • A menu tab can have multiple Collections, Items, Attributes & Products
  • A Collection tab can have multiple Sub Collections, Items & Attributes
  • A Sub Collection tab can have multiple Items & Attributes

Update/Delete a Quick Pick Menu Page

Hold and force press an item from the list and you will see a delete icon and you can remove it from the menu. 

Note : Deleting an item or attribute will never delete the product from the system, It will be just taken off from the menu.

Grid View/List View

You have the option to toggle between Grid and List views on quick pages.

General Item 

General Item is a quick access button similar to a cash drawer where you can add a price or quantity to the cart if you do not have an item on the menu. It allows you to have the flexibility to change something you do not have added into the menu but just add a quick amount. You can access as below

Other Notes

  • If you have multiple machines when you change a menu you can instantly receive updates on other machines by doing manual sync.
