Overview

The loyalty program will allow you to award points for money spent or for units purchased. Award any point-to-dollar ratio you'd like.

On CAS, set up for the loyalty program is under the integration tab of the configuration menu. By default the program will be disabled. If disabled no points totals will be displayed on the emailed or printed receipts.

If you do not see this feature, please upgrade to the Grow or Pro version.

Setup Loyalty Program

Step 1 : Enable Loyalty Feature

Go to CAS --> Configuration --> Company Details --> Company Information.
Check the Loyalty Program Box and click 'Save'.

Step 2 :
Custom Design your Loyalty program: Define how points accumulate and redemption options

Modify Loyalty Points

In the event that you must edit a customer's available loyalty points, please follow the below steps:

On CAS, navigate to Transactions --> Customers --> Modify Loyalty Points

Enter the customer Name which you wish to modify. Customer records will show in a drop down below the customer name field. Click on the name of the customer which you wish to modify.

Once you have clicked on the customer's name, their information will populate, including their current points total. Enter the points which you wish to add or subtract, in the empty field for Enter Points. Choose from the radio buttons if you wish to Add or Subtract points from the customer. The field for Modified Points will reflect the new total of points for the customer. Then choose Modify at the bottom, to save.

Rules for Accumulating Points

Business owners set how many points will be assigned per x dollars or per x items of a specific item or at a category level. They can do one, both or a combination of both. The rules will be applied to all transactions.

Note : Points will be earned based on net dollar/items, not including tax. Refunds will reduce the point calculations.

Rules for Redemption

There is a slider to indicate if the redemption is for merchandise or for a cash reward (the highlighted ones, is the one selected).

After selecting the slider, the user will enter the points for the award and the Item ID (or category) or the Cash amount as applicable.

There is an option for 3 redemption programs

The redemption must apply to a single item, as you will apply the discount to an item, not to the entire transaction.

Earning Points

Identifying the customer

a) Via the customer provided data

b) Via the card number

A typical transaction consists of a cashier assigning a customer by searching for the email address, name or phone number and then processing the transaction, and points earned are then added to the customer totals.

If the customer has not been selected and a credit card is used, the points will be added to that record (based on the credit card used). If more than one record exists a popup box is displayed asking them if they are Joe or Mike. If no existing record exists a popup box is displayed asking if the customer would like to be added to the loyalty program at which time the cashier is navigated to the add customer screen and the information is added and the points accumulated.

Redeeming Points

The customer must indicate to the cashier that points are to be redeemed, and when the transaction is processed the loyalty redemption code is selected.  The points needed for redemption will be validated at this time against the customers total and then decremented upon conclusion of the transaction. If the validation is for a specific item or category that validation should occur here as well.

 Customer Lookup

The customer screens on the Tablet POS application shows the loyalty points. Also when you add the customer to a sales transaction their current points are displayed on the sales screen.

CAS Reports

A report is available on CAS, under the Customer Tab called Loyalty Program. Report. It applies to an enterprise level, current only data. The report shows:

Customer Name, Customer #, Current Points, Points redeemed (cumulative), Date of  last sale.

Customer points are also available on each customer record on CAS.

When Customer is added to the sales transaction

When the loyalty program is enabled, current points are visible on the sales transaction screen

When Customer is not already added to the transaction

The customer will be prompted at the completion of the sales, asking if they would like to be added to the loyalty program

If YES, and no existing record exists of the customer, the cashier will add a customer record and the information is added and the points accumulated.

If NO, transaction completes and no loyalty points are accumulated

If ADD TO EXISTING, cashier selects customer from existing customer records and the points are added to the customer record

Redeeming Customer Loyalty Points

If a customer has earned enough points and is redeeming the points the following steps must be taken:

  • Add the items into the sales cart

  • Edit the item that will be discounted using the loyalty points.

  • Select the loyalty redemption coupon to be applied.

  • The Discount will be displayed on the sales cart.

  • Points will be decremented from the customers total points

Transaction Screen

Customers can join the loyalty program (if the loyalty program is enabled). when they make a purchase.

If no existing record exists a popup box is displayed asking if the customer would like to be added to the loyalty program. If Customer says they want to join you select "YES" at which time the cashier is navigated to the add customer screen and the information is added and now the customer will get start to accumulate points.

If Customer does not want to join Loyalty Program you select "NO" and popup will disappear and you can complete the sale normally.

If Customer is already in your database and they will like to join Loyalty Program you select "Add to Existing" here you will be taken to the customer search screen and select the customer and add them to the Loyalty Program so they can start accumulating points.

Once Customer is added it will take you to the Transaction screen and your Customer will have a points box that will accumulate points according to the Store's Loyalty Program.

Those Loyalty Points will printed on the receipt and will be added to the Loyalty Points box.

Redeeming Points

The points needed for redemption will be validated at this time against the customer's total and then decremented upon conclusion of the transaction.

You select 1 of the 3 options of Redeem Options and it will discount the amount according to what is enabled on CAS.

Once selected, the transaction will be discounted then you can complete the sale. The receipt will print and it will let you know how many points it deducted from your Customer.
