Inactive Status

Go to Management --> Inventory Classification --> Master Item

An item should be changed to an inactive status once it no longer needs to be part of the business (when it will not be reordered or restocked and all stock of the item has been depleted).

 

Inactive items will not show up on the Inventory Balance Report even if there is remaining inventory of the item. An inactive item cannot be sold from the POS but can be sold using the CAS manual sales function, but it still will not populate on the pos and the inactive item cannot be returned from the POS.

Inactive items do show up on the following reports:

  • Item lookup Report

  • Receiving Journal Report

  • Merchandise Transfer Report

  • Periodic Sales Report

  • Adjustment Report

  • Purchase Order Report

  • Reorder Level Report (with reorder Q at "0")
