Variant Matrix

A product with variants is a group of similar products that are offered in different variations, such as size or color — each variant is a unique SKU with its own inventory, housed under a master product.

Navigate to Catalog→ Items

Each product with variants can have up to 3 attributes (e.g Style, Size, Brand), and unique combinations.

Together each unique combination forms one variant product, e.g T-Shirt - Small, Black.

Select an Attribute from the dropdown (e.g., Size).

Add your attribute Value (e.g., Small, Medium, Large)

Now that you have a list of variants under This product has X variant(s), you can quickly edit the variant name, SKU, ItemID, CostPrice, and SellingPrice that were entered earlier at an individual variant level. Variant items should have unique ItemID.

Size Brick 

The console now supports enhanced flexibility in variant matrix creation by including the "sizebrick" attribute alongside existing attributes like brand, color, season, size, and style. Users can seamlessly select and incorporate the "sizebrick" attribute during variant matrix setup, generating combinations based on the chosen size brick and other selected attributes. For instance, choosing the "Large Sizes" size brick and the color black will create variants like "L-Black," "XL-Black," and "XXL-Black."

Note: A product variant matrix can have a single attribute as variants. Eg:- If you have a T-shirt with the colors Black, Blue and white, you can create product variants such as T-shirt-Black, T-shirt-Blue, and T-shirt-White as shown below.

Auto Generate IDs for Variants

If you want the system to automatically generate the variant ItemID, you can check the Auto Generate ID box so that you don't need to manually enter the variant ids.

This will add the suffix a -01 to the base product ID.

Eg: If the base Item ID is 00234, then the variant ID will be 00234-01, 00234-02,..etc

Note: Please ensure that Item IDs for variant items do not contain any special characters.
