An SMS campaign is a text message sent to a large group of recipients, usually for marketing purposes. Sales and discount messages are the most popular ones. SMS campaigns are a crucially powerful strategy to deliver essential information to people, and it works best in combination with other marketing channels, such as email or web push.
Creating Campaigns
Navigate to CRM→Marketing
To enroll customers in the marketing program, merchants can copy and share the link provided on the SMS Marketing page.
This link will open up the customer enrollment page like below:
- On the enrollment page, provide the required details, such as your name, email address, phone number, etc.
- Tap on the "JOIN NOW" button to complete the marketing enrollment process.
- A confirmation message will be displayed upon successful enrollment.
To view and create campaigns, navigate to CRM→Marketing → Campaigns. Already created campaigns will be listed here. Users can search for campaigns by providing details in any of the search fields.
Creating a New Campaign
SMS marketing campaigns can be sent to users to notify them of offers, notifications, emergency information, updates, reminders for a better customer experience, and much more.
You can create SMS campaigns where you can schedule and send mass messages to a segment of customers and watch new orders roll in.
Follow the instructions below to create a new campaign:
- Navigate toCRM→Marketing.
- To add a new campaign, click on the Create Campaign button.
- Enter the Campaign Name.
- If you wish to add customers from the customer list or a specific segment/rule or tag, choose the option from the dropdown:
- Manual Selection: Click on "Manage Customers". From the manage customers pop-up window, you select the customers or a customer segment/group.
- Segments: Allows to select customers based on selected segments
- Rules: Allow to select customers based on selected rules
- Tags: Allows to select customers based on selected tags
- Manual Selection: Click on "Manage Customers". From the manage customers pop-up window, you select the customers or a customer segment/group.
- Click on the View Customers button to view all the customers selected for the campaign. A popup window will appear listing, the Customer Count, Name and mobile number.
- Type in your marketing message in the Message field. You have the option to parse the texting list by varying details/purchase history factors or fields like First Name, Last Name, Last Visited Date, Loyalty Points, Coupons & Discounts. For example, Greetings,{{firstName}}{{lastName}}

button and upload the image.
- Scheduled Campaigns: There are two ways to send SMS campaigns: you can send SMS immediately after you created an attack, or you can lay it aside and set the exact time when to send it. For instance, if you know that 3 pm is the best time for your audience to receive an SMS from you, set it at 3 pm, and the campaign will be automatically launched right then.
Note: We have an update on the working of the scheduled campaigns. The scheduler will run every 15 minutes, hence if user schedule a campaign at a specific time, for eg., 9.00 AM, then the campaign will be picked up at 9.15 AM. Therefore, the SMS will not be delivered exactly at the time user's have scheduled.
- Choose when you want to send the messages to your customers. You can either send it Now, or you can schedule and send the messages on a pre-set date & time.
- When you are done, click Save & Proceed.
Modifying Campaigns
To modify an existing campaign, enter one of the campaign details and search to see a list of campaigns that match the criteria, then press Save after making the necessary changes.
Click on the Edit button to open the campaign details.
