Overview
Go to Console → Utilities → Modify Time Card
If you are using Time & Attendance to track employee time, the Modify Time Cards function is very useful because it allows you to edit and correct the time cards of employees.
Review all clock-in and clock-outs by employees, line items display the employee name, log-in date, and time for each day, and modify or delete entries as needed. The Employee Time and Attendance report shows a summary of all entries listed here.
Run the report with the "Only Forced Entries" selection (Toggle ON) to monitor supervisor override activity.
Note: Modify time cards is a role-based feature so that only certain employees (Admin & higher roles)can edit time cards.
Details
Clock In
Authorized roles can make forced time card entries directly from the console if an employee is not clocked in through the POS. This functionality allows a forced clock-in regardless of the user's current POS clock-in status. Selecting the "Clock In" button enables an authorized user to initiate the clock-in.
When additional details such as venue, store, employee, or date range are specified, the console will display further information, including Employee Name, Login POS ID, Login Time, Logout POS ID, Logout Time, and a Comment field (for noting the reason for the forced clock-in if needed).
Clicking the "Clock In" button will prompt you to enter the employee's name and login time details, after which you can select Save to complete the entry. The Logout Time can be updated from either the console or directly through the POS system.
The user can modify the time and date of the employee's clock in/clock out. If you do not see any time cards in the list, change the date range in the Date Range section.
Simply update the Login Time/Logout Time field as required and hit the Modify button.
Edits are applied immediately. Be cautious when editing these fields, and check the results by running the Employee Time & Attendance Report to verify your changes.
To Search for Time Cards
If you want to see time cards, use the fields in the Date Range section.
- Enter the beginning and ending date/time fields to choose a date range.
- Select an employee in the Employee dropdown list. Only the time cards for that employees appear in the list.
- Click the Search button to search for times cards in the date range. The matching time cards appear in the list immediately.
Missing Logout Time
Missing Logout Time occurs when a clock-in/clock-out set is incomplete. If an employee forgot to clock out (Clock-In without a corresponding Clock-Out), the time card indicates a missing entry.
To Delete Time Cards
You can delete a time card at any time.
Select the line in the table and press the X button
