Payment Report

Go to Reports --> Custom Reports

The Payment Report is a custom report that summarizes the various types of payments received by the business within a specific time period. It provides important information regarding the sources and amounts of payments, helping businesses track their financial transactions and analyze sales patterns.

The console provides the ability to download the report data to a flat file on your local file system. This function currently supports the CSV file format, which presents the report data as fields separated by commas (,).

Downloading the Report

Click on the report and the date range, and you can download the whole report in a CSV.

Note: Currently, you can only generate reports for up to 100 days. 

The report includes the following fields:

1. Day: This field represents the specific day or date on which the payment was received.
2. Venue: Refers to the venue where the payment was made.
3. Store: Indicates the name of the store within the venue where the payment was processed. This field can be useful for businesses with multiple stores or departments.
4. Gift: Represents the total amount of payments received in the form of gift cards or vouchers. It captures the value of transactions made using gift cards as a payment method.
5. Cash: Denotes the total amount of cash payments received during the specified time period. It includes any payments made in physical currency or coins.
6. Credit: This field indicates the total amount of payments received through credit cards or other forms of electronic payment methods, such as debit cards.
7. Store Credit: Represents the value of payments made using store credit. 
8. Shopify: Refers to the total sales made through the Shopify platform, which is a popular e-commerce software used by businesses for online transactions. This field represents the portion of payments received specifically through Shopify.
9. Other: This field accounts for any additional types of payments that do not fall under the aforementioned categories.
10. Total Sales: Represents the overall sum of all payment types for a particular day, venue, or store. It provides a comprehensive view of the total revenue generated within the given time frame.

By analyzing the Payment Report, businesses can gain insights into their sales performance, identify popular payment methods, monitor the utilization of store credit or gift cards, and make informed decisions regarding financial strategies or inventory management.
