The Sold Out/Make Available feature allows us to mark products as "Sold Out" or "Make Available" in ZeroPOS, indicating their availability to customers. When a product is marked as "Sold Out," it signals that the item is temporarily out of stock and cannot be sold until it is replenished. Conversely, when a product is marked as "Make Available," it means that the item is now in stock and can be sold to customers.
To make an item sold out on ZeroPOS and indicate its unavailability to customers, follow these steps:
-
From the ZeroPOS home screen, locate the quick-pick item that you want to mark as sold out.
-
Long-press on the quick-pick item. This action will bring up additional options related to the item.
-
Among the options presented, click on "Sold Out." By selecting this option, you will designate the item as unavailable for purchase.
-
Once you mark the item as sold out, the app will immediately update its status. Customers will now see the item greyed out and labeled as "SOLD OUT" when browsing through the app. A sold-out item cannot be added to the cart.
If the item becomes available again and you want to make it purchasable:
-
Long-press on the item that was previously marked as sold out.
-
Among the options displayed, choose "Make Available." This action will update the item's status and allow customers to purchase it once again.
By following these steps, you can effectively manage the availability of items on ZeroPOS and keep customers informed about the status of each product.
Best Practices:
To effectively utilize the Sold Out/Make Available feature, consider the following best practices:
- Regularly monitor inventory levels to promptly mark products as "Sold Out" or "Make Available."
- Train store staff to proactively update the status of products in the POS system as stock levels change.
- Ensure that all relevant personnel are aware of the feature and its significance in maintaining accurate product availability.
- Communicate with the purchasing department or suppliers to facilitate timely replenishment of out-of-stock items.
