What are Percentage Based Discounts?

A percentage-based discount is a type of promotional offer where a certain percentage is deducted from the original price of a product or service. This discount is applied based on the specified percentage off the regular price.

For instance, if a product is priced at $100 and there's a 20% percentage-based discount, the customer would receive a discount of $20 (which is 20% of $100), resulting in the final price being $80.

Percentage-based discounts are commonly used by retailers and businesses as a marketing strategy to attract customers, increase sales, and clear out inventory. These discounts can be offered on individual items, entire orders, or as part of special promotions.

Percentage-based discounts allow businesses to adjust the discount rate based on various factors like seasonal sales, customer segments, or promotional goals. How to Setup Percentage Based Discounts?

• Log in to your Console → Settings → General Settings → Promotions → Add Discount
• Create the discount, name the discount, specify the Discount Type as 'Discount Percentage', Date range, and specify the % configuration as required.
