What is Even Exchange?
Even Exchange is a transaction type used to process the return of a single item and its exchange for a similar item, typically in cases such as returning a defective product for a new one. The key points of the Even Exchange feature include:
- The exchanged item must have the same price and tax as the returned item.
- The transaction amount for Even Exchange is $0.
- Any transaction requiring a $0 payment can use the Even Exchange tender, although it is primarily intended for item exchanges.
- Only authorized users with the necessary permissions can perform Even Exchange transactions due to the supervisor override requirement.

Important Notes

- Eligible Transactions: While the Even Exchange tender can be used for any $0 transaction, it is primarily intended for exchanges where the returned and exchanged items are identical in value.
