What is All Items Discount?
All Items Discount feature in the promotions section allows cashiers to manually apply discounts to products based on their classifications or attributes. Discounts can be given as a dollar amount or percentage, applied to all eligible items in the cart. This update is designed for merchants who don't use customer profiles or databases, allowing them to offer discounts without relying on customer data.
This feature allows the cashiers to apply discounts directly based on product categories, such as department, brand, or season, without needing customer profiles.
Merchants can also choose a Redemption Type: either apply the discount to all customers or select a specific customer group (e.g., Elderly Customers or High-Value Customers). It supports multi-selection, enabling discounts to be customized for specific product classifications (like department, subcategory, or attributes such as brand, color, or vendor).
This enhancement gives merchants more flexibility in applying discounts, making it easier to accommodate various customer and product scenarios.
How to Setup All Items Discount?
Log in to your Console → Settings → General Settings → Promotions → Add Discount
Create the discount with the details: name the discount, specify the Discount Type as ‘All Items Discount’, Date range, Redemption Type (All/Customer Group), Classification and it’s value, and specify the $ or % configuration as required.
