League Reporting

Follow

The League Reporting enhances the Console portal by providing comprehensive sales reports for NBA (National Basketball Association) and NHL (National Hockey League) teams. These reports are essential for compliance with league requirements and informed decision-making.

The NBA and NHL sports leagues both require the teams that play under them to provide sales reporting after each game and a monthly summary. Each league requires the data to be in different formats and grouped in certain ways. We can create different league reports and a mechanism for the team to format the data correctly.

Key Goals of the League Reports

  • Compliance with League Requirements:
    • Both the NBA and NHL have mandatory reporting requirements for sales data from each game and on a monthly basis. These reports help teams meet those compliance standards by ensuring the data is formatted correctly and includes required details.
  • Enhanced Data Organization:
    • Teams can aggregate and group sales data in specific categories, that are required by leagues. The Console provides the flexibility to create custom mappings and groupings, even if these categories don’t align exactly with the team’s existing structure.
  • Streamlined Reporting Process:
    • The League Reports feature automates much of the data collection based on event or monthly selections, reducing manual work. Configurable templates allow teams to quickly create reports that match league formats, ensuring consistent, standardized data submission.
  • Informed Decision-Making:
    • These reports give teams insight into game-day and month-end sales data, helping them make informed business decisions on inventory, staffing, and promotions. They can also track performance against budgeted sales targets.

Report Types

  • Game Night Reports (for both NBA and NHL): Used to capture detailed, game-by-game sales data. Configured for individual events, these reports focus on specific games and include information like opponents, game night weather, and sales at various store levels.
  • Month-End Report (NBA only): Provide aggregated sales data over a month, summarized by department and category to meet the NBA's monthly reporting standards.

Each report type is configurable to meet specific league formatting and category requirements, helping teams fulfill compliance obligations effectively.
