The Commission Setup and Commission Report features allow users to configure commission percentages for different classifications and view detailed sales commission data. Below is a step-by-step guide for setting up commission percentages and accessing commission reports.


Setting Up Commission Percentages

  1. Access the Commission Setup Screen

    • Navigate to Settings → Commissions in your application.
    • The Commission Setup page will be displayed, as shown below

  2. Configure Commission Percentages

    • Step 1: Under the Setup By dropdown, select the classification type:
      • Department
      • Category
      • Sub-Category
    • Step 2: Add commission rates:
      • In the table, click the Add Button (+) to create a new row.
      • Select a specific classification (e.g., "Electronics" for Department).
      • Enter a commission percentage (valid range: 0-100%). If the entered value is outside the range, an error message will appear: "Commission percentage must be between 0 and 100."
    • Step 3: Delete or update commission entries:
      • To remove an entry, click the Delete Button (X) beside the corresponding row.
      • Ensure there are no duplicate entries for the same classification. If a duplicate is detected, an error message will display: "Duplicate entry: A commission rate for this classification already exists."
  3. Save Your Configuration

    • Once all entries are complete, click the Save button to finalize your commission setup.
    • Ensure only one classification type can be configured at a time.

Accessing and Using the Commission Report

  1. Access the Commission Report

    • Navigate to Reports → Commission Report.
    • The Commission Report page will be displayed, providing a detailed breakdown of sales. The View includes The Setup Method, Commission, Net Sales
  2. Set Filters for the Report

    • Use the filters at the top of the report to narrow down the data:
      • Date Range
  3. Customize Grouping and View Options

    • Under the View By dropdown, select the desired grouping:
      • Department Summary
      • Category Summary
      • Sub-Category Summary
      • Vendor Summary
      • Item Summary
      • User Summary
  4. View and Export Data
    Users can Choose to Download the Report as a PDF or can export as a CSV File

  5. Pagination for Large Data Sets

    • If the data set is extensive, use pagination at the bottom of the report to navigate through the entries.
