Sales by All Item Report in Custom Report

Follow

The Sales by Item Report helps you gain a full view of your product inventory and sales performance. It provides valuable insights into your product stock, whether sold or unsold, enabling you to make informed decisions regarding distribution and purchasing.

Understanding both your products on hand and sales performance is crucial for effective decision-making. The Sales by Item Report helps you:

  • Evaluate Product on Hand: Get a complete view of the inventory from a Vendor, Department, Category, or Sub-category perspective.
  • Identify Sales vs Product Availability: Compare sales data with your available inventory to pinpoint trends, slow-moving products, or products that are not properly distributed.

By viewing the data in this way, you can improve operational flexibility and efficiency.

  • View All Items: The report includes all items from your catalog, whether they have been sold or not within the selected period.
  • Grouped Reporting: Sales can be grouped by:
    • All Items
    • Vendor
    • Department
    • Category
    • Sub-category
  • Vendor & DCS Filter: You can filter reports by specific vendors or departments (e.g., Nike or New Era, or filter just for hats).

The Sales by Item Report will display the following columns:

  • Rank: Indicates the rank of an item based on the number of units sold during the selected period. For example:
    • Item with 1000 units sold is ranked 1st
    • Item with 999 units sold is ranked 2nd
  • Item ID: The unique identifier for each product.
  • Product ID (if applicable): The unique ID for the product.
  • Item Description: Name of the item.
  • Quantity Sold: The number of units sold within the selected timeframe.
  • Quantity On Hand: The real-time quantity of the product available in the inventory system.
  • Sell Through: Shows the sales efficiency.
  • Sales in Revenue: The total revenue generated from the sale of a specific item, including both full and discounted pricing.
  • Cost On Hand: The total value of the on-hand stock.
  • Retail on Hand: The total retail value of the on-hand stock.
  • PO on Order: The total number of units still on open purchase orders.
