File Merge in Inventory 360

Follow

We are excited to introduce a new File Merge Enhancement in Inventory 360, designed to simplify cycle count management for users of the i360 (standard) application. With this new feature, you can merge multiple cycle count files and create consolidated cycle count projects directly from the Console Cycle Count screen.

This enhancement brings the capabilities of i360 (standard) closer to i360 Pro, improving efficiency, accuracy, and ease of use in inventory counting.

How to Use the File Merge Feature

Step 1: Accessing the File Merge Option

  1. Navigate to Inventory 360 → Cycle Count.
  2. Locate the new “Create Cycle Count” button on the screen.
  3. Click on it to open the file merge interface.

Step 2: Uploading Cycle Count Files

  • You can drag and drop multiple CSV files exported from i360 (standard).
  • Alternatively, click “Browse” to manually upload files from your computer.

⚠️ The system will validate the files to ensure they are in the correct format and contain the necessary data.

Step 3: Merging Files and Creating a Cycle Count Project

  1. After uploading the files, enter your email and click “Merge”.
  2. The system will process the data and create a new cycle count project.
  3. The newly created cycle count project will be displayed in the Cycle Count grid.

Step 4: Managing the Merged Cycle Count Project

Once the cycle count project is created, you can:

  • View and edit cycle count data
  • Create summaries
  • Override scanned quantities
  • Initiate necessary inventory adjustments

Handling RFID and Non-RFID Cycle Counts

This update also introduces a toggle switch to differentiate between RFID and Non-RFID cycle counts.

  • In the Cycle Count grid: A toggle allows users to switch between RFID and Non-RFID views.
  • For Creating Cycle Counts:
    • The “Create Cycle Count” option is available when the toggle is in Non-RFID mode.
  • For Summary Projects:
    • If the summary is created from the Non-RFID view, only cycle counts done with a Non-RFID device will be listed.
    • If the summary is created from the RFID view, only cycle counts using RFID devices will be listed.

Key Benefits

  • Faster Cycle Counting: Merge multiple cycle count files seamlessly.
  • Greater Accuracy: Ensure data consistency through system-driven validation.
  • Enhanced Control: Easily manage both RFID and Non-RFID cycle counts.
  • Improved Efficiency: Reduce manual work and streamline operations.

Important Considerations

  • If multiple locations are detected in the uploaded files, separate cycle counts will be created for each location.
  • Only authorized users can access and merge cycle count files.

The File Merge Enhancement for Inventory 360 simplifies cycle count management, making it more efficient, accurate, and user-friendly. Whether handling large inventory volumes or switching between RFID and Non-RFID cycle counts, this feature ensures greater control and better inventory accuracy.
