Sales Projection Report

The Sales Projection feature allows businesses to set projected sales and customer counts for a location and compare them with actual performance. This helps in tracking business trends, analyzing performance, and making data-driven decisions.

  • Set projections for sales and customer counts for specific stores or venues.
  • Compare actual sales vs. projected sales to measure performance.
  • View and manage projections through a calendar-based UI.
  • Generate detailed reports with variance analysis and export data for further review.

Sales Projection Setup

  • Navigate to Settings Sales Projection

  • Use the Calendar View to manage projections for different locations and dates.

  • Click on a specific date in the calendar to open a pop-up.
  • Enter Projected Sales and Projected Customers and Previous Year's Sales for that date.

  • Click Save to store the data.
  • Clicking on the same date again allows users to view or edit previously saved projections.
  • Click on Delete icon to delete an entry.

  • If a specific store or venue is selected, projections apply only to that location.
  • If Enterprise is selected, projections apply to the entire business (aggregated across all stores/venues).

Sales Projection Report

Navigate to Reports Sales Reports Sales Projection Report

Apply filters such as:

  • Location (Venue/Store)
  • Date Range
  • Net of Discounts (checkbox to include/exclude discounts)

The reports include the following fields:

  • Venue: The store or location where the sales projection applies.
  • Store: The specific store under the selected venue (if applicable).
  • Date: The reporting date for the sales and customer projections.
  • Projected Sales: The expected revenue set for the selected date and location.
  • Actual Sales: The total revenue recorded for the selected date and location.
  • $Variance: The difference between actual and projected sales in currency value.
  • % of Projected Sales: The percentage of actual sales achieved compared to the projection.
  • Projected Customers: The estimated number of customers expected for the selected date.
  • Actual Customers: The total number of customers recorded for the selected date.
  • Variance (Difference in customer count): The difference between actual and projected customer counts.
  • % of Customers: The percentage of actual customers achieved compared to the projection.
  • Last Year's Sales: The total revenue recorded on the Previous Entry (based on the user entry)
  • Current Year's Sales: The total revenue recorded for the selected date and location. (equal to Actual Sales)
  • Sales Variance: The Difference between Previous year's Sales and Current year Sales
  • % of Last year's Sales: The Percentage of Current year sales to Previous year sales

Exporting & Printing Reports

  • The report can be exported to Excel for further analysis.
  • Users can also generate a PDF for printing or sharing.

Bulk Import

Users can import the Sales Projection via the import facility

Go to Utilities -> Imports -> Other -> Sales Projection Setup Import
