Cayan Gift Card Integration on ZeroPOS

retailcloud POS now supports Cayan Opticard gift card processing. With this integration, merchants can activate, redeem, refund, and manage balances on Opticard gift cards directly within the POS application, making gift card handling seamless and efficient.

Here’s what’s supported in the POS:

• Gift Card Activation

  • Load money onto a brand-new gift card or add funds to an existing one.

  • If the card hasn’t been used before, it will automatically be activated when value is added.

• Balance Inquiry

  • Quickly look up the remaining balance on a gift card so customers always know how much they can spend.

• Redeem (Use for Purchases)

  • Accept gift cards as payment at checkout, just like any other tender. Process purchases using gift card funds with the SALE function.

• Refund

  • Return funds back to a gift card when processing a refund.

How It Works

• When processing a sale or refund, requests are submitted as credit transactions.

• Cayan automatically determines whether the swiped card is a gift card based on its BIN range.

• Then POS will process the payment as a gift card transaction and record it under the gift tender type.

• Gift card details are logged in the Console and displayed on the receipt for transparency.

Setup Notes

• Gift type “CAYAN” has been added to the POS gift configuration screen.

• Cayan gift card credentials must be configured for setup (Cayan will provide details such as IP address, merchant key, and site ID).

• Once configured, merchants can start issuing and accepting Cayan gift cards immediately.
