Logging into the Application

Employees need their username and current password to access the system. Employees are created with a role, so access is based on the assigned role. A cashier will have limited access to functions whereas an employee with the role of Financial will be able to access additional setup features and processes. Do NOT log in using the System Admin credentials (this user is for administrative use and not day-to-day sales functions)

Enter the Username and Password to access the system.

Username: Enter the username supplied in your welcome letter (email). If you have not created a merchant account, select Sign Up to start the sign-up process.

Password: Enter the password supplied in your welcome letter (email).

PIN: Employees can access the system with a 4-20 digit PIN that is assigned to individual employees. If the user has set up a PIN on the web portal for access to the POS, it can be entered here for access. User name/password would not be required. The pin does not expire. The forgotten PIN must be reset on the backend portal.

  • The "Enter" button used to submit the PIN is now more visually prominent than other options like "Login with Username", reducing confusion and helping users complete login more efficiently.
  • Users can now press the "Enter" key on a connected physical keyboard to submit their PIN, eliminating the need to tap the on-screen Enter button.
  • PINs can now be entered via barcode or QR code scan for faster logins.
  • If the scanned code includes a check digit at the end, it will be treated as an automatic "Enter" action, submitting the PIN immediately after it’s populated.

Note: To improve account security, the system now prevents users from including their username in their password during the password reset process. Passwords containing the username will be rejected during validation.

Other options on the Login Page:

Remember me: Lets you add a username and password and will save it so if you log out you don't have to keep re-entering your username and password.

Training Mode: You will access the system, with your data and the training transactions will not be saved. So you can show your employees how to complete a sales transaction without it actually affecting your sales and inventory reports. When you are done using the training mode, exit the system and log back in without being in training mode.

Forgotten Password: If the employee has forgotten their password, a temporary password is sent to their email address. Note: It is recommended that an email address is included when a new employee is created so this feature can be utilized.

New to the System?

Set up your company name and update your default settings by going to the Configuration settings → Company Details

Here you will update the default settings with your data (such as sales tax rate, store name, and add cashiers).

ZeroPOS - PIN Entry

This is the PIN Entry Feature of the ZeroPOS application. Merchants can create employees and assign each individual employee a 4-20 digit PIN to log into the POS. This simplifies the login process, saving time and allowing for an easier-to-remember PIN.

The PIN # does not expire. The PIN is created on the backend portal using the create/modify employee and can be created through the Console User Management section.

To use the PIN on logging into the ZeroPOS, switch to PIN mode and enter your PIN.
