Inventory Write Down Report

A new Inventory Write-Down Report is now available to provide detailed visibility into all write-down transactions. This report helps finance, operations, and loss prevention teams analyze inventory losses by reason, location, user, and more.

Report Views:

The report supports two view modes:

Unconsolidated (Default): Displays each individual item line from write-down transactions.

Consolidated: Group entries by Transaction Number. Provides a summarized view of each write-down event.

Users can toggle between these views as needed.

Report Columns:

The report includes the following information:

  • Item ID
  • UPC
  • Product ID
  • Description
  • Color
  • Size
  • Brand
  • Season
  • Vendor
  • QOH (Quantity on Hand)
  • Pre Unit Cost
  • New Unit Cost
  • Extended Write-Off Cost
  • Write-Off Cost
  • Adjustment Location
  • Transaction Number
  • Created By
  • Remarks
  • Reason Code

Note: For historical transactions created before this enhancement, the “Created By” and “Reason Code” fields will appear blank or as N/A.

Filters:

The report supports advanced filtering, including:

  • Date Range
  • Adjustment Location
  • User
  • Brand
  • Vendor
  • Department / Category / Subcategory
  • Reason Code

A search bar allows quick lookup by:

  • Item ID
  • UPC
  • Product ID
  • Transaction Number

The report can be exported in CSV, Excel, PDF

Exports will reflect: The currently selected view (Consolidated or Unconsolidated). All active filters applied on the screen
