Classifications
There are three levels of classification available: Department, Category, and Subcategory.
The department is typically considered the most general level of segmentation, in a clothing store categories can be Men, Women, Youth, Infants, Accessories, etc. Category and Subcategories are the next levels. Reports can be filtered by one or a combination of these classifications.
Uploading Attribute Images:
Note: We’ve introduced image upload capabilities for Collections, Sub-collections, and Attributes (excluding Size Bricks) to help merchants present visually appealing interfaces in POS.
For all attributes and additional attributes (except Size Brick):
- A new "Attribute Image" (e.g., Department Image, Size Image) field allows image upload during creation or editing, except for size brick.
- These images help visually identify attributes (e.g., color, size, department etc.) in Quick Picks.

Otherwise, an error will be generated, indicating that the selected item is not eligible for purchase using a meal card.

Attributes
There are seven types of system-defined attributes available: Style, Color and Size, Size Brick, Season, Brand, and Team.
These attributes are typically vendor-defined and are critical when Purchase Orders are processed and submitted to many vendors. Users can also define size bricks to easily add new items in an entire size range into a Purchase Order or during Merchandise Receiving.

Size

Sort By Size: This feature allows merchants to control the display order of size variants using a configurable Sequence field within Size Attributes. Instead of displaying sizes based on the order they were created, sizes can now appear in a more logical and consistent format (for example: S → M → L → XL).
Users can access the Sort By Size option from the kebab menu in the Size Attribute screen. Selecting this option opens a pop-up displaying details such as Size ID, Name, and Sequence. Merchants can assign numeric sequence values to define how sizes should appear across the system. The Variant Matrix and size selection UI will automatically follow the configured sequence order. Existing sizes are assigned a high default sequence value to maintain current behavior unless updated manually. If multiple sizes share the same sequence number, they are displayed alphabetically within that sequence.

To create a new size click on the Add Size button.
Enter the Name of the Size to be created, if the name does not exist the size is added and a successful message is displayed, if a name that already exists is being added an error message is displayed.

Size Brick

This function allows the user to create a size brick that can be used to quickly create a group of items from the Purchase Order or Merchandise Receiving screen. When creating an item under the purchase order (or Merchandise Receiving), if the user selects a size brick, then the new item is created in all the sizes of the size brick and listed below for the user to choose from.
Creating a size brick is the same as going into the Attributes and selecting the size from the list of available sizes that are displayed if the size brick includes sizes that have not been previously established, a New Size can be defined.

If the name of the Size Brick did not previously exist the brick is added and a successful message is displayed. If a previously established name is used an error message is displayed and the brick needs to be renamed in order to save. If a previously added size is being defined as a New Size the transaction will not save and an error message will be displayed, correct the entry and save.
The Size Brick is then used to create the Size (many items at once)
