Sales By Hour Report

The Sales by Hour Report provides an hour-by-hour sales summary for the date range, and sales associates specified. This is a summary report that produces one report line per hour of one day. Calculations are performed for the number of transactions per hour, the number of items sold per hour, the total sales amount per hour, and COGS, margin, & units sold per transaction.

Navigate to the sidebar, Reports Sales Report Sales By Hour Report

Criteria Selections for Sales by Hour Report

Make entries in the following fields to determine report output:

  • Start Date: Enter the starting date you want to include in the report.

  • End Date: Enter the ending date you want to include in the report

Note:

The Start Reg and End Reg fields can be left empty if you select a relative date option (Current Day, Previous Day, Current Month, Previous Month)

Here's a breakdown of the fields included in a Sales By Hour Report:

  • Time: This field represents the specific hour or time interval during which the sales data is recorded. It helps identify sales patterns throughout the day.
  • Event: To view all event details, including the start and end dates, and location, ensuring full visibility of transaction data linked to specific events.
  • COGS (Cost of Goods Sold): COGS refers to the direct costs associated with producing or acquiring the products sold. It includes expenses such as raw materials, manufacturing costs, and direct labor. Tracking COGS helps evaluate profitability and determine the cost-effectiveness of sales.
  • Margin: The margin field represents the difference between the selling price of the goods and the COGS. It indicates the profit margin achieved for each hour, reflecting how effectively the business is pricing its products and controlling costs.
  • Units Sold: This field denotes the total number of units or products sold during a specific hour. It helps businesses understand sales volume and identify popular products or time periods of high demand.
  • Transactions: Transactions indicate the total number of sales transactions completed within each hour. Tracking this field helps measure customer traffic, evaluate the efficiency of the sales process, and identify any fluctuations in customer behavior.
  • UPT (Units Per Transaction): UPT represents the average number of units sold per transaction within an hour. It helps businesses assess the effectiveness of upselling or cross-selling strategies and measure customer engagement.
  • Gross Sales: Gross Sales refers to the total revenue generated from sales before deducting any costs or expenses. It represents the total value of all products sold within each hour.
  • Net Sales: Net Sales represent the revenue earned from sales after deducting any returns, discounts, or allowances. It reflects the actual amount of money received by the business, taking into account any adjustments or refunds.

By analyzing these fields collectively, businesses can gain valuable insights into their sales performance, identify opportunities for improvement, optimize staffing levels, adjust pricing strategies, and make data-driven decisions to enhance overall profitability.

Printing Reports

Users have the option to print reports on Console, 

  1. Navigate to Reports and select the report
  2. Select the Date Range that you wish to get the report for.

  3. Select filters that are necessary for your report. 

    Note: Default Settings will create a Report with all the necessary information, but if you want a more detailed report, add or remove filters. 

  4. Navigate to the Screenshot_2023-01-21_at_5.00.44_PM.pngPrint button on the top right corner of the screen, clicking on the button will show a popup window to choose the printing options.
  5. Make your selection and hit Print
