retailcloud system is now integrated with Fortress Payments. You can securely process transactions in real time on retailcloud POS.

Now you can pay via Fortress wallets at the POS end using our ZeroPOS/6IX POS applications.

Getting Started

Login to Console
Navigate to Settings → Integration → Fortress
In the Fortress Setup section, you will find the below input fields for the required connection details.
- Register ID
- API Base URL
- Username
- Password
Once you have entered all the necessary details, click the "Connect" button. The console will attempt to connect to Fortress using the provided information.
If the connection is successful, you will see a confirmation message that the connection has been established.
Clicking on the "Disconnect" button, the console will disconnect from Venuetize. If the disconnection is successful, you will see a confirmation message that the connection has been disconnected.

Support for Multiple Registers

Now console enables users to effortlessly connect multiple registers, streamlining simultaneous management. A grid displays connected registers, featuring details like Register ID and Connection Status, allowing users to disconnect registers seamlessly. The grid incorporates a search function for swift register retrieval, while a dedicated button facilitates the addition of new registers using pre-configured credentials.

Fortress Discount Calculation Source

The Discount Calculation Source setting allows merchants to choose whether Fortress or retailcloud is responsible for calculating discounts during a transaction. This provides greater flexibility and eliminates the need for manual scripts when retailcloud manages discount calculations.

Navigate to: Settings → Fortress

A new Discount Calculation Source dropdown is available at the top of the page.

The following options are available:

Discounts Calculated by Fortress
Discounts Calculated by retailcloud (by default)

This setting is saved at the location level, allowing each location to configure its preferred discount calculation method.

Discounts Calculated by Fortress

When Discounts Calculated by Fortress is selected:

Fortress automatically calculates and applies discounts during checkout.
Discounts are applied without any cashier interaction.
No additional actions are required at the POS.

Discounts Calculated by retailcloud

When Discounts Calculated by retailcloud is selected:

An Apply button is displayed on the Fortress discount screen in the POS.
The cashier can tap Apply to calculate and apply eligible discounts.
Discounts are updated immediately in the cart after they are applied.
No manual scripts or additional configuration are required.

The selected configuration is automatically used by the POS for new transactions after the setting is updated.

To ensure accurate discount calculations:

Only one discount calculation source can be active at a time.
The POS always follows the configured calculation source.
The system prevents discounts from being applied more than once.
