Procedure / Steps
Step 1: Navigate to the 'Events' tab.
From the main dashboard view, click on the 'Events' tab, which is located to the right of the 'Sales' tab.
Step 2: Observe the quick stats and filter options.
Upon selecting the 'Events' tab, you will see a summary of key metrics including 'Total # of Events', 'Total Items Sold', 'Total In Venue Comps', and 'Total Out Venue Comps'. Above these stats, you can select filters for 'Day', 'Month', '6 Months', and 'Year' to refine the data displayed.
Step 3: Analyze the Event Map.
Below the quick stats, an interactive map of the United States displays events as colored bubbles. The size of each bubble corresponds to the inventory allocated to that event. The color of the bubble indicates the event's status: Red for closed/finished events, Green for ongoing events, and Blue for future events. Hovering over a bubble reveals event details such as 'Event Location Name' and 'Gross Sales Total' for closed events.
Step 4: Review the Event Grid.
Scrolling down from the Event Map reveals a detailed grid containing information about each event. The columns include 'Status', 'Event Name', 'Location', 'Date(s)', '# of Stores', 'Transfers Sent', 'Timestamp of Last Transfer', and 'Reorder Report'.
Step 5: Understand the Event Grid Columns.
Each column provides specific insights: 'Status' indicates if an event is open or closed. 'Event Name' and 'Location' identify the event and its venue. 'Date(s)' show the event's duration. '# of Stores' indicates active sales locations. 'Transfers Sent' and 'Timestamp of Last Transfer' reflect product movement and sales activity. 'Reorder Report' highlights low stock situations.
Step 6: Interpret Low Stock Indicators.
The 'Reorder Report' column will display 'Min Level Approaching' when an item's quantity is within 10 units of its reorder level, or '⚠️ Min Level Reached' when the minimum quantity level is met. Clicking on these indicators will navigate you to the detailed Reorder Level Report.
Conclusion
The 'Events' tab provides a robust set of tools for monitoring event performance, from high-level statistics and geographical distribution to detailed inventory and stock level management. By leveraging the quick stats, event map, and the detailed event grid, users can gain actionable insights into event activity and proactively manage stock.
The integration of low stock alerts and direct links to reorder reports ensures that operational efficiency is maintained by preventing stockouts and optimizing inventory allocation.
