Kiosk systems now support scanning customer loyalty codes - such as Fortress, YinzCam, Lava, Venutize, FanMaker, and Venuenext - directly from the cart screen. This enhancement ensures smoother checkouts and accurate customer identification, even when the scanned value doesn’t match an item UPC.
To enable this functionality:
Ensure the ENABLED_EXTERNAL_LOYALTY_PROVIDER setting is enabled in POS configurations for the relevant loyalty provider (e.g., Fortress, Lava, YinzCam, etc.).
Only one loyalty provider can be active at a time.
Key Features:
Accurate Error Messaging: Invalid item codes will still show appropriate error messages.
Valid Loyalty Code Recognition: When properly configured, scanned loyalty codes are saved and applied automatically.
Seamless Experience: Codes scanned early in the transaction are retained and used when the user proceeds to checkout.
Split Tender Support: Loyalty information is correctly applied even during split payments.
Multiple Providers Supported: Lava, Fortress, YinzCam, Venuetize, FanMaker, and Venuenext are supported. Each integration has been verified for scanning, storing, and applying the code during checkout.
Session Management: Loyalty data resets automatically after transaction timeout or successful checkout to ensure fresh scans each time.
What's new:
If a scanned barcode doesn’t match any known item, the system now interprets it as a potential loyalty code instead of displaying an “Invalid Item” error.
The scanned code is temporarily saved in the session as a potential customer identifier.
When a loyalty provider (e.g., Fortress or YinzCam) is selected on the checkout screen, the system automatically uses the saved code to look up the customer and apply loyalty details.
Support for Scanning STM Codes During Transaction
To improve user experience for Season Ticket Members (STM), the POS now supports scanning STM codes at any point during a transaction.
Key Features:
Flexible Scanning: STM codes can be scanned before, during, or after item selection without any errors or disruption.
Silent Capture: When scanned, STM information is silently stored in the session.
Customer Feedback: A brief toast or on-screen message confirms that STM details have been captured.
Automatic Application: At checkout, the system automatically associates the scanned STM with the transaction - no need to rescan the card or re-enter details.
Frictionless Checkout: This allows for quicker, smoother experiences for both customers and staff.
