Inventory Receiving

Inventory receiving provides merchants the ability to create inventory quantity. This could be a continuation of inventory for items already found in the system or new opening balances. With a receiving, items and quantity are found in the locations.

Create a Receiving Batch

To start a receiving process follow the below steps

  1. Click the 'Receive Item' button from the home screen.

  2. Click the ( + ) on the "Receiving Batch List" Screen. Choose General Receiving or PO Receiving

  3. Enter

    • Batch name

    • Receiving Date

    • Location Type & Location ( Select which location (which store or warehouse) the inventory is going)

      After the location is chosen, Click 'Add Items to Batch '

  4. Users can either manually hand enter the UPC or Scan the item using the "scanner" icon to ADD the items

  5. Click 'Finish' once adding items to the batch is completed.

  6. Choose one of the options to proceed

    1. Receive to Finish the receiving

    2. Receive & Print Barcodes to receive and print labels

    3. Save & Exit to save the current batch and continue later

    4. Discard to delete or cancel the current batch

If you want to print the label as when items are scanned ( before receiving ) , enable the settings "Print on add" under Settings --> General

                       

Receiving Items with Expiry Date

  1. For adding an Item with Expiry Date, scan the item to choose Expiry date and select Vendor for the item --> Click 'Submit'. Barcode labels with expiry dates for the item can be printed.

    Edit a Receiving Batch

    1. Click the 'Receive Item' button from the home screen.

    2. Select and click the batch you would like to edit or Swipe the batch from the list ( left to right)

      ( Only the batches which are not received can be edited )

    3. Click 'Add items to batch'

    4. Scan the item using the "scanner" icon OR manually ADD the items

    5. Click 'Finish' to complete receiving

    6. Choose one of the options to proceed

      1. Receive to Finish the receiving

      2. Receive & Print Barcode to receive and print labels

      3. Save & Exit to save the current batch and continue later

      4. Discard to delete or cancel the current batch

         

        Tip: You can add items from multiple vendors into the same batch and they will all create separate receiving transactions number

        Delete a Receiving Batch

        You can delete a batch one of two ways

        1. Click the 'Receive Item' button from the home screen.

        2. Swipe the batch from the list ( right to left )

        3. A delete button shows up and you can delete it from there
