Pre-Order Deposit Charging in SuiteSpot

SuiteSpot supports automatic deposit charging for pre-orders, ensuring a seamless and secure transaction process. This feature allows the system to charge a deposit amount based on the configured pre-order deposit percentage set in the Restaurant Console.

How It Works?

Automatic Deposit Calculation:

• SuiteSpot syncs with the Restaurant Console to determine the pre-order deposit percentage.
• When a customer places a pre-order, the system automatically calculates the deposit amount based on the configured percentage.

Deposit Charging at Checkout:

• The system charges the deposit amount at the time of placing the order.
• The order total displayed to the customer includes: Deposit Amount, Actual Order Amount, Total Amount Charged
• A clear order summary is provided to show the breakdown.

Handling Payment Authorization:

• If the deposit charge fails, the app will prompt the customer to update or add a valid payment method.
• The order is only confirmed once the deposit amount is successfully charged.

Pre-Authorization for Customers Without Deposit Configuration

• If a Suite Owner has no deposit charges configured, the system will pre-authorize $1 instead.
• If a Guest Customer has no deposit charges configured, the system will pre-authorize 120% of the total order amount to ensure successful payment processing.
