We’ve made several upgrades to the SuiteSpot web app to improve merchandising, pricing flexibility, and checkout accuracy. These updates are designed to give customers a smoother shopping experience and help merchants present their products more effectively.
Inventory Gating with Real-Time QOH Validations
To prevent overselling, SuiteSpot can now validate stock levels before completing a purchase. If QOH validation is enabled for a menu tab, the system will check item availability in real time during checkout. Items marked as out of stock will not be available for purchase.
SuiteSpot validates item availability in real-time at checkout.
QOH gating can be applied to specific menu tabs — if enabled, items in those tabs will be checked for stock before purchase.
To enable the QOH Gating — Navigate to Add Menu >> Add Menu Tab. Select Menu Tab Type as "Retail" and enable the checkbox of "Restrict Negative Selling".
The system uses a cart-level QOH validation flag to ensure accurate stock checks when items are added to the cart, updated, or purchased.

This prevents overselling and ensures customers only purchase items that are actually in stock.
Product Attribute Grouping (Size, Color, etc.)
You can display retail menus in the SuiteSpot web app with organized attribute grouping options. Customers can easily select combinations like size and color before adding an item to their cart, ensuring better product presentation and more accurate orders.
- Merchants can now display items with grouped attributes such as Size and Color. This allows customers to easily choose the right product variation directly from the menu, resulting in a cleaner presentation and faster selection.
- For example, a T-shirt available in multiple sizes and colors will be displayed as one grouped product, allowing customers to quickly select their preferred option without scrolling through separate listings. This makes the menu cleaner and speeds up the shopping process.
Display of Active Item-Level Discounts
Customers can now view active, item-level discounts directly within the SuiteSpot menu. These discounts are pulled in real time from Console, ensuring that pricing is always up-to-date and accurate.

Customers can see available deals at the item level while browsing or at checkout.
This improves transparency and encourages more sales through visible promotions.
Customer-Specific Pricebooks
SuiteSpot now supports assigning Pricebooks to individual customers or customer groups. This means you can set tailored pricing and discounts that will automatically apply during browsing and checkout, ensuring the right customer sees the right price every time.
Create the Pricebook in retail console and create customer groups.
Assign a dedicated Pricebook to individual customers or groups.
Apply customer-specific pricebook-level discounts automatically during browsing and checkout.
This helps you offer tailored pricing and special promotions to your valued customers.
Product Level Pricing Support for Variants
We allow merchants to have more control over how product pricing is managed. Users can now decide whether all variants of a product share the same price or whether each variant should have its own price.
A new “Same Price for All Variants” flag has been added to simplify pricing management in restaurant portal under menu:
When enabled: All variants automatically inherit the main product’s price.
When disabled: Each variant can be assigned its own unique price.
This flexibility allows merchants to choose between a unified pricing approach or variant-specific pricing depending on their business needs.
Simplified Pricing: Keep pricing consistent across all variants with a single setting.
Flexibility: Easily assign unique prices to variants when needed (e.g., size or color differences).
Efficiency: Reduce errors and streamline pricing management in both the Quick Pick and Product Detail pages.
The product detail and quick pick views now display pricing according to the flag setting allowing merchants to have the flexibility to adapt pricing strategies to different scenarios.
